The Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, opened in June 1987, is a compilation of the traditional and modern methods of architecture. This 3-story museum has 9 art galleries, has initially started with work of Pablo Picasso, Paul Gauguin, Claude Monet, Jorge Braque, and then the work of Iranian painters were added. The museum also has a library and audio-visual unit (photographic and cinema workshop).

Some of the achievements of this museum is getting back a large part of the visual and unparalleled Shahnameh known the Tahmasbi, who had left Iran for many years ago, in the gardens of Museum of contemporary art, the creatures of Marino Marini, Parviz Tanavili, René Magritt, Henry Moore, Alexander Cader, Alberto Gacomoti, Max Brod, Edward Chilida, Norwichi Carogochi. The Museum of Contemporary Art is located on the northern worker street next to Laleh Park.
