Milad Tower is the tallest tower in Iran and the fourth largest telecommunication tower in the world, located in the northwest of Tehran and within the municipality of area 2 of Tehran. This concrete tower is 435 meters high and consists of 3 main sections, the middle section of the tower has 12 floors and in the construction of the main section and base section about 33000 Square meters of concrete has been used. The tower is in a hill with an approximate area of 14 hectares and is almost visible from all parts of the city of Tehran.
The suggestion of building the Milad Tower was first introduced in 1370, and in 1993 the current site was selected for its construction. The establishment in one of the city centers, public access to good service, aristocracy over all parts of the city, the existence of the necessary infrastructure are the most important factors in choosing this place for the construction of the Milad Tower.
In addition to the telecommunication facilities in this tower, various facilities have been built such as restaurant, cafeteria, gallery, shop, etc., which has added to its tourist attraction.
Milad Tower is considered as one of the symbols of Tehran city.
